Town in the Woods

Tinted History
If there was a list of last year’s most notable architectural premiers, it would definitely include the building of the bank “Saint Petersburg” built by “Eugene Gerasimov and Partners” in cooperation with “nps tchoban voss” and “SPEECH Choban and Kuznetsov” on Saint Petersburg’s Malookhtinsky Avenue. Recently, the architects completed their work on the interiors of this project – the updated solutions are aptly added with the photos of Saint Petersburg’s major banks.

A House with an Architectural Fable
While implementing the project of a residential building in Khilkov side-street, the architects of “ABV Group” were faced with the necessity to relearn the all-but-forgotten skills of interworking with sculptors. "Nests of light" designed by “Panacom” bureau is one of the brightest (everyway) objects of the past "Archstoyanie"-2011. Having significant media component, it has reasonable chance to go to independent swimming. At least the authors believe that the glowing spheres can multiply and migrate from the forest to the city. In Vladimir Plotkin’s project the hotel building located in the historic center of Rubleny town – Kremlin of the Yaroslavl city - resembles a white fret work box. It is sited among the two monuments within the limiting lines and transforms the church ruins - which belongs to the end of the 17th century and discovered by the archeologist - into a museum.
