Presentation of the indoor resort project Freestyle Park by ABD bureau in the beginning of October took place in Russian pavilion of the Venetian architectural Biennial

Grigory Revzin, curator of Russian pavilion, opened the ceremony of architectural project presentation giving a short sketch of events on this exhibition platform during biennale. As he said, there were displayed the most "significant" and remarkable constructions which were in the design stage and realization in Russia. Most of their authors were foreign architects: the only representatives of our country in this a line were Boris Levyant and Boris Stuchebrukov with Freestyle by Park. This project got the place in the Russian pavilion due to uniqueness of idea, and not only for our country but also for the world architectural practice. In the complex, which the company MT Development is planning to finish the construction in 2011 to the west from Moscow, will include skiing slope with a number of tracks and infrastructure (so-called snow zone), an aquapark, a natural-science museum the Center of entertaining science, retail and entertaining facilities, hotel and apartments.

Such super multifunctionality sets a hard task for architects to create an integral image of construction that at the same time would be adequate to constructive logic of building. Boris Levyant, presenting the project, emphasized the organic origin of its form comparing it to a living creature. On the whole he said, Freestyle Park with its original image is more a cultural institute, than a commercial establishment.

Exterior of the construction was displayed more closely on a model made especially for presentation. Despite that the project still is in development, in particular, coloring is not decided, the 3D image of the complex allows seeing what impression this grand construction (its height is about the 30-storeyed building) will make on visitors.
At the presentation there as well were the British experts responsible for the main attraction of the Freestyle Park indoor skiing slope, and also for the Center of entertaining science which will acquaint public with miracles of the nature and science like does the center Phaeno by Zaha Hadid in Wolfsburg.
