For the last years in area of Dmitrovka Aleksandrov has constructed and reconstructed some buildings. In Dmitrovskom Pereulke buildings 5-7 – he constructed a new inhabited complex. Close to it in Dmitrovskom Pereulke, 3 – he reconstructed under an office building a monument of architecture of second half XIX century Egorov's manor (in the co-authorship with Grigory Kochetkovym and Marina Kornachevoj). Directly on Bolshaia Dmitrovka (addresses: 14, 16 buildings 1, 18) he conducts a complex reconstruction with elements of new construction. But from all previous objects the new one differs in a self-sufficient aesthetics of the modern forms erected, however, in dimensions of surrounding historical building.
The irregular grid of oblong light apertures is scattered on all four facades of a building. Possible lack of natural illumination is compensated by a step composition of the basic facade with stained-glass windows pleated a zigzag, transparent gallery on the last floor, and also continuous glassing coming forward volumes on end faces and a front plane of a domestic part of a building. The system of punching of apertures is, according to the author, the answer to density of the building, excluding typical at vis-a-vis buildings situation «windows in windows». Rhythmical breakdown of facades on the volumes joined under a corner and their punching by means of various geometry of windows is dictated by interrelation of a building with the detailed historical context. The refusal of monotonous "cleanliness" of modern forms is basic.
The first - partially through - the floor models the artificial street connecting earlier constructed and again erected inhabited complexes. The difference of a relief more than in two meters has allowed the author, having built a small ramp to create foot space where the original foreshortenings on the zigzag console of the basic facade open to the visitors. The sensation of internal street is supported by the natural stone used in furnish of socle and first floors of a building, and also elements of vertical gardening.
