The fourteenth edition of the festival took place in Svetlogorsk on September 18-20. The competition site was located on the shore of Filinskaya Bay, and the theme was glamping made of non-permanent and quick-mounting structures.
First prize in the 2025 competition went to the Power Technologies team led by Aleksey Polishchuk.
Project description provided by the architects
The proposed tourist infrastructure is based on the idea of a harmonious dialogue between the local nature and the architecture, where each structure is not only functional but also a symbol of the area’s natural identity.
Inspired by the unique coastal landscape and the abundance of local bird species, the architects created an environmentally friendly ensemble that blends seamlessly into the existing terrain.

The entire site is connected by a unified pedestrian network and an eco-boulevard – a “ribbon” that encircles the settlement’s area, enabling continuous movement along a complex path enriched with a variety of spatial and experiential scenarios.
The central building, shaped like a large owl – a reference to the name Filinskaya Bay (from the Russian “filin”, meaning “male owl”) – serves as a landmark public space, reception area, and visitor center. This “art object” building acts as a striking architectural accent and a symbolic “gateway” to the route.
The project also includes small modular shelters inspired by natural forms – resembling bird nests or fragments of rock.

An observation platform with a restaurant in the shape of a nest, along with a network of wooden walkways traversing the rugged terrain, connects key points of the site and forms private recreation areas that fit snugly into the landscape.
All the buildings, paths, and viewing decks are designed with minimal impact on the ecosystem: lightweight structures, pile foundations, sustainable materials, and adaptation to the local topography.

Large windows, terraces, and observation areas integrated with nature establish visual and emotional contact with the surroundings. Footbridges running along the water’s edge create an additional level of interaction with the coastline.
The proposed solution forms a unique master plan for a glamping site without any permanent buildings, developed with consideration for the ecosystem and the cultural and natural code of the area. The project aims to enhance the tourist appeal of Filinskaya Bay and create a sustainable, aesthetically cohesive infrastructure.
