Anna Martovitskaya. Eco project

Once Barvihinskaya street was quiet and picturesque Moscow suburb, today it is part of the comfortless area, extremely close to Mozhaiskoe highway and the Moscow Ring Road. Architects from SPeeCH bureau will return the street its past plentiful greens: their project of a mixed-use complex includes about 4,000 sq m of green space.

Anna Martovitskaya. Exhibition complex

We can’t imagine any modern megapolis, a cultural and industrial center without a large exhibition complex. Even though today an exhibition is primarily a high-tech infrastructure with a full range of services, the typology of building requires a bright and catchy architecture, symbolizing success and attractiveness of such kind events. There are such complexes in Milan, Frankfurt and Paris. Now St. Petersburg is also in the list. Yevgeny Gerasimov and Sergei Tchoban designed new “ExpoForum” for the city.

Anna Martovitskaya. Symbol of executive branch transparency

Ensemble of “Nevskaya city hall” was already well known on the international contest stage. This is a city-block with a palace of the executive branch in the centre. Transparency here is the symbol of democracy, and the stone is the sign of Piter context.

Julia Tarabarina. A fairytale place

Kempinski hotel complex in Nizhni Novgorod is bright and diverse. Its architectural image is deep with its color, ornament, and is built around a golden tree with a firebird. It is easy to tell ornamental and fair specific of the place. So fantastic and colourful Nizhni Novgorod appears city according to the architects SPeeCH.
Rule of a garden

Anna Savkina. Rule of a garden

Project of the residential complex for 20 thousand people “Gardens of cultures” has the three components: urban conveniences, nature and allusions to architecture of various European countries. That is not easy. But it appears to be achievable and even possible to create a balanced image which smartly applies classic methods within modernism.
More than an office

Julia Tarabarina. More than an office

It is a very neat and small building. In spring it was miniature by Moscow standards, and now it is a perfect fit as it is time of such constructions: neat and not ambitious. At the same time the project is not at all plain, and to see how those qualities merge in a single construction, we are going to consider more closely.
The house which harmonizes contrasts

Julia Tarabarina. The house which harmonizes contrasts

This house by the sea already has five different diplomas, newest of them is the golden diploma of "Zodchestvo"-2008. Such attention is not surprising: looking at this complex one will see that its architecture is not only charged by meanings, it easily applies techniques of the two opposite styles. Within a single ensemble the authors managed to harmonize techniques of the classics and modernism – a risky course, but in the end there is an austere, but harmonious image
