Nikita Yavein and his Architectural Workshop “Studio 44” have come up with the renovation project for the Alexander Palace in Tsarskoye Selo near Saint Petersburg. Just like the reconstruction of the East wing of the General Staff Building, the architects’ new work presents an excellent example of correct mix of up-to-date creative and technical solutions with the historic architecture.

Architectural bureau "Studio 44" is designing a mixed-use complex with a theater, an art center, offices and residence in the West End of London. As the client desired it has absorbed recognizable motifs of the Old Russian architecture.

Nikolai Malinin. The general headquarters becomes more general

Tomorrow in St. Petersburg there will be launched the first stage of reconstruction of the eastern wing of the General headquarters. The project is titled “novaya Boshaya Anfilada” , it will be housing collections and exhibitions of the State Hermitage. The Petersburg architects Oleg and Nikita Yavein ("Studio 44") are the authors, “Intarsia” company is the contractor, the Ministry of Culture is the client and the investor is the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This is not the opening yet, the paintings will be here in summer. This is more of an architectural event now. Really a significant event. Nikolai Malinin specially for Arhi.ru.

This summer the architectural workshop "Studio 44" has completed construction of a new 4 star hotel in Petergof. Designed as a small and comfortable city-block it is perfectly fitted into the natural and cultural surrounding of one of the most popular towns by St.Petersburg.

In August there have been held an international architectural contest on the best project of History Museum of Kazahstan building in Astana. Architectural company "Studio 44" from St. Petersburg was among the participants.

Anna Martovitskaya. Facing the waters

Within the "Russia Factory" project "Studio 44" was working on the regeneration concept of “Proletarsky Avangard”cotton factory. The architects connected its territory with the water system of Vyshny Volochyok by a new channel, after reconstruction the former production will turn into a small Venice.

Today in Saint Petersburg there are being realized two architectural projects related Boris Eifman, the world-known choreographer. The Dutch UN Studio is designing a theatre for his troupe within the “European Embankment” city block, and in Lisa Chaikina street everything is ready for construction the Dance Academy, designed by “Studio 44” architectural studio.
