A Tower and a Manor House
02.10.2023

Alyona Kuznetsova. A Tower and a Manor House

The concept of a high-density residential district replacing a set of outdated privately owned houses in Yekaterinburg preserves the street grid and, in some cases, even the scale of construction. OSA Architects combine towers with townhouses and other types of housing, orienting the silhouette composition towards a pedestrian boulevard. Through non-linear routes and spatial diversity, the residents will see their neighborhood in a new way every day.
Foothills and Peaks

Alyona Kuznetsova. Foothills and Peaks

Developed by OSA, the concept of revitalization of the territory of Stankoagregat plant combines two scales: extreme-high towers and relatively “human-friendly” urban villas. In the conditions of ultra-dense construction, this solution makes it possible to vacate territories for public spaces and trees, as well as adapt the project for the conditions of the changing market.
The Wall and the Tower
10.03.2021

Alyona Kuznetsova. The Wall and the Tower

The OSA architects have been searching for solutions that could be opposed to the low-rise construction in the center of Khabarovsk, as well as an opportunity to say a new word in the discourse about mass housing.
White Town
17.06.2020

Alyona Kuznetsova. White Town

In the project that they developed for a southern region of Russia, OSA Architects use multilayered facades that create an image of seaside resort architecture, and, in the vein of the latest trends of today, mix up different social groups that the residents belong to.
On the Path of Emotion
21.11.2019

Alyona Kuznetsova. On the Path of Emotion

Two young architects of OSAArchitects are sharing about their first experience of doing an independent project and about the creative method that they developed.
Frontier Worlds
05.02.2019

Alyona Kuznetsova. Frontier Worlds

A search for unconventional approaches to urban housing densification, new ideas for background architecture and addressing the issues of a space with a negative aura – all of this is to be found in the new housing project designed by OSA for a land site that, among other things, contains an abandoned monument of architecture.
A Change of Image
12.12.2018

Alyona Kuznetsova. A Change of Image

The OSA Group created a new version of high-rise towers in order to restart Ekaterinburg’s unfinished construction, at the same time trying to make the super-dense housing environment as comfortable as possible.
The Tushino Gate
23.08.2018

Alyona Kuznetsova. The Tushino Gate

Tushino, the former famous Moscow airfield, which for the last twenty years has been a testing ground for various architectural experiments, may soon be augmented by a complex of towers near the Volokolamsk Highway designed by Ekaterinburg-based OSA architects. The towers are prominent yet reservedly noble-looking.
Non-revolutionary Changes
20.12.2017

Marya Snejinskaya. Non-revolutionary Changes

Designing mass housing residential blocks for the “Brusnika” developers, OSAArchitects created an environment that clearly exceeds the originally proposed housing class, at least by Ekaterinburg standards.
Pencils of Malevich
26.10.2017

Anna Starostina. Pencils of Malevich

Ekaterinburg’s high-rise residential complex “Malevich” forms around itself a semblance of a comfortable oasis amidst a harsh industrial city. Viewable from virtually every conceivable angle, the self-sufficient architecture designed by “OSA” was able to tackle all the hereditary problems of this place and make a huge deal of positive difference.
