Anna Martovitskaya. From Empty To… Full

In the prestigious villa community of Novo-Uryupino, the architectural studio TOTEMENT/PAPER reconstructed one of the houses. The house, initially executed in the traditional “New Russian” style, got an “updating” injection and a completely renovated look.

Architectural studio «TOTEMENT / PAPER» designed a museum and a storage for "Alliance-1892”, a cognac producer in Kaliningrad region. Theme of winemaking got a unique symbolic presentation in the architectural image of the complex.

In 2011 there will be constructed a new building of the National Library of the Czech Republic in Prague. International architectural contest was held nearly four years ago. Moscow bureau Totement/Paper was among the participants, they put a principle of coding in their project.

The World Universal Exhibition EXPO-2010 started its work on May 1 in Shanghai. A very important date for Russia? The country participated in the prestigious exhibition and had its own pavilion. Twelve white towers with red-gold ornament symbolizing both the rich historical and cultural heritage of the country and concern on the future, openness to new. The pavilion project was designed by Bureau TOTEMENT / PAPER.
