Barbara Cappochin International Architecture Prize
Международная архитектурная премия Барбары Каппочин проводится каждые 2 года, нынешняя – 11-я по счету. В 2023/2024 году номинировать на премию можно проекты, завершенные в период с 1 января 2020 года по 31 января 2024 года.
Принимаются проекты, связанные с новым строительством, реконструкцией и/или расширением существующих зданий и ландшафтной архитектурой в следующих категориях:
The Prize was created to remember Barbara and what she left us during her 22 years of life through the understanding of the deep and intimate connection existing between architecture and everyday life with the objective to bring out the centrality and responsibility of architecture in the process of landscape modification, with particular respect to the urban outskirts, according to the principles of bio architecture, energy efficiency and sustainable urban planning, selecting and rewarding the works that stand out for the quality intended as sphere including sensorial and emotional quality, attention to the human scale, innovative design and construction, appropriate use of materials and structures, study of constructive details, combination of aesthetic and quality, functionality and sustainability.
Participation in the 2023/2024 edition of the "Barbara Cappochin International Prize" is open to works, completed between 1 January 2020 and 31 January 2024, relating to new construction, redevelopment and/or extension of existing buildings, landscape architecture, designed by individual architects or associates, of any nationality, registered in the professional register or in an equivalent association and belonging to the following categories:
Public and/or private residential architecture.
Commercial, executive, mixed architecture.
Public architecture.
Landscape architecture.
Urban Planning.
The inscription is free of charge. Opening date for receiving entries: 26 October 2023 Closing date for receiving entries: 31 January 2024, 24.00 (Italian time) – (GMT+1) The registration procedure is carried out electronically through access to the computer system identifiable on the site www.barbaracappochinfoundation.net, following all steps as indicated.
The winning designer will receive the prize of € 20.000 (twenty thousand Euros), a plate and the catalog of the Prize. The designers of the three works noted with honorable mention will receive a plate and the catalog of the Prize. The prizes will be personally given to the winners and mentioned during the prize-giving ceremony.
Travel expenses and accommodation will be offered by the organization to the Winner and the Honorable Mentions of the International Prize.
The prizes are subject to taxation in force in Italy. A copy of the Prize catalog will be offered to all competitors who request it. All the works submitted to the Jury will be shown in an exhibition lasting for at least 60 days and on the web sites of the Barbara Cappochin Foundation web site (www.barbaracappochinfoundation.net) and of the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscapers and Conservators (www.ordinearchitetti.pd.it)
