Суть премии – отметить 40 наиболее талантливых начинающих архитекторов и дизайнеров в возрасте до 40 лет из стран Европейского союза, а также Норвегии, Швейцарии, России, Турции, Лихтенштейна и т. д. Участники конкурса должны представить 1-3 свои проекта на рассмотрение жюри. Это могут быть как реализованные, так и невоплощенные проекты. Основным критерием отбора лучших участников будет степень новаторства их работ.
In a bold attempt to identify the next, upcoming generation of European architecture practitioners, The European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies announces the 2018 submission dates for the European-wide Awards Program that identifies, promotes, and exhibits the next generation of European architects under the age of 40.
"Europe 40 Under 40" is an annual initiative that spotlights the next generation of successful architects who will impact Europe's future living and working environments, cities, towns, and rural areas in the decades to come.
Presented with The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, the program is open to all young architects, landscape architects, interior architects, urban planners, and industrial designers who are under the age of 40 as of December 31, 2017 and who are working independently or in a firm or on a specific project where they are the lead designer.
The 2018 submission deadline for ARCHITECTURE and INDUSTRIAL DESIGN is NOVEMBER 1, 2017. "Europe 40 Under 40" is open to European architects and industrial designers who are citizens of the European Union or in the countries of Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Russia, Turkey, Lichtenstein, Albania, Monaco, Croatia, Andorra, Serbia, Montenegro, Georgia, Bosnia-Hezergovina, Macedonia, Moldavia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Canary Islands, Faeroe Islands, and San Marino. A total of 47 European nations.
