The Zumtobel Group Award honours innovations for Sustainability and Humanity in the Built Environment while promoting pioneering concepts and developments for more quality of life and sustainability in the built environment and its design.
In addition to the two categories considered within the award, one Buildings and the other Urban Developments & Initiatives, there is also the chance to win a Special Prize for Innovation. Acting as a stimulus, the Zumtobel Group Award addresses core issues of our age. Praising sustainable solutions, pioneering social initiatives, research projects and applied innovations in the built environment.
The driving force behind this award was and is the significance innovative solutions in architecture and urban planning can have to reduce global energy consumption and boost the general quality of life. For many years the Zumtobel Group has made sustainability and energy efficiency key objectives in the production, function and application of its products across all boards of its three internationally established brands, Thorn, Tridonic and Zumtobel.
The Zumtobel Group Award belongs to the most respected awards in the world of architecture and has had a total of thirteen projects awarded first place since its fruition in 2007.
