Mars City Design Challenge 2017
Конкурс собирает идеи, которые могли бы способствовать созданию инновационных комфортных городов на Марсе. Участники могут предложить дизайн-решения в трех категориях: транспорт, «друзья человека» (роботы-помощники), энергоэффективность. Организаторы рекомендуют конкурсантам дать волю воображению, но учитывать в своих проектах принципы устойчивого развития.
Mars City Design Challenge is an annual competition to celebrate innovations and creative designs from all synergistic fields, focusing on creating future cities and its (amazing and surreal) lifestyles on Mars. We believe that by designing solutions that are sustainable for our life to expand on the red planet, we can then breakthrough in our technology and innovations on Earth.
Last year's competition was very successful, inviting 135 entries from all over the world, submitting different categories, from Smart Architecture, to Tools for Astronauts. The top 25 are uniting to continue their ideas further into tangible designs, benefiting our Power Lab workshop that takes place at USC, Los Angeles this September 15-29, 2016.
Our succesful Kickstarter campaign becomes viral, this gives the contestants a chance to get further support in the future for their designs to be commercialized. Our Mojave Desert prototype 3D Printing also bring awareness on how the steps to Mars are real!
