Last Light is conceived as the redefinition of the 21st-century lighthouse, as a habitable space, accessible to visitors, where architecture not only emits light, but is lived in, explored, and occupied.
Last Light invites participants to propose a habitable lighthouse that redefines the traditional concept of a lighthouse through contemporary architectural language.
The project is expected to function not as a purely symbolic object but as a habitable spatial experience, explored and perceived through movement, light, and time.
The lighthouse must integrate an observation space or lookout point oriented toward the Atlantic horizon, a luminous element that acts as a reinterpretation of the traditional lighthouse, and a series of designed spaces including a gallery, a temporary shelter, and a contemplation area.
