Участникам конкурса предлагается разработать концепцию «Дома на озере» – клубного пространства для отдыха перед катанием на лыжах в Альпах. Дом расположится на берегу озера Санкт-Мориц, на старейшем в мире горнолыжном курорте Санкт-Мориц в Энгандине. В здании должны быть предусмотрены кафе, бар, спа и пространства для встреч, а его проект должен гармонировать с природным контекстом, быть «устойчивым» и предполагать простое обслуживание.
In highland areas and cities near the poles, winter tourism, more than a necessity, is presented as an alternative that is related to a human search for strong emotions and adventures in a natural environment. It usually focuses on the practice of sports in the snow and cold or simply the fact of relaxing and enjoying spectacular views of the snowy landscape. In view of this, the aim is to satisfy these needs with a project that offers shelter, security and contemplation, before continuing on the path to adventure.
The Lake House will be conceptualized as a clubhouse that functions as a mountain stopover for all those athletes or simply travelers who require a comfortable or contemplative space to rest before continuing on their way to the Swiss Alps. It can be located on dry land or on the shore of Lake St. Moritz. It will function as a cafeteria, bar, spa and will have various meeting spaces, prioritizing views of the landscape. Its architectural form must be subtle and timeless, able to adapt to the natural context in summer and winter. It must be designed as a construction that can withstand the effects of time and be easy to maintain. The design is intended to be integrated into the context, to be of low impact and to give priority to the natural landscape at all times.
