пресс-релиз:
With this global design competition, we are seeking creative solutions to address the climate crisis and accelerate the transition to a fair and circular future. Changemakers everywhere are invited to submit ideas to radically redesign the world we live in — our products, materials, stories, systems, services and spaces — through a circular and regenerative lens. If it sounds like we’re asking to redesign absolutely everything, that’s because we are. With so much at stake, nothing less will do. Can your innovation drive this change?

Since 2015, we’ve partnered with organisations like IKEA Foundation to launch global challenges around different societal issues, from clean energy and circularity to the health and wellbeing of refugees. In that time, we’ve learned that many of the problems we currently face are deeply interconnected, whether we are talking about plastic waste in Kenya or the housing crisis in the Netherlands. It follows then, that the best solutions are too.

At the end of the open call, a minimum of 10 winning teams will be selected according to four key criteria: impact, design and creativity, feasibility and scalability, and the strength of your team and network. The award package includes access to an accelerator programme designed to bring your ideas to the next level.

About WDCD
What Design Can Do (WDCD) is an international organisation that seeks to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, fair and just society using the power of design. Based in Amsterdam, with hubs in São Paulo, Mexico City, Delhi, Nairobi and Tokyo, WDCD started in 2011 and is initiated, curated and organised by creatives.

Who can apply?
Redesign Everything is open to everyone around the globe. Designers, start-ups, students and entrepreneurs alike are invited to submit creative solutions that pave the way for a fair and circular future. At the end of the open call, we will select a minimum of 10 winning teams to enter an accelerator programme designed to bring their projects to the next level.

Redesign Everything is open to everyone around the globe. Projects of different stages of development are welcome — from new ideas to market-ready enterprises.

Selection criteria
We will evaluate all submissions according to four key criteria: impact, design and creativity, feasibility and scalability, and the strength of your team and network. Our selection process begins with an online review by an international selection committee, and ends with in-video interviews with the international jury and the WDCD team.

The winners of the Redesign Everything Challenge will be selected by an international jury of leading experts in circular design, climate action and entrepreneurship. A minimum of 10 promising projects will be awarded according to four key criteria: impact, design and creativity, feasibility and scalability, and the strength of their team and network. In May 2024, the panel will roll up their sleeves and begin a collaborative process to determine the most innovative and impactful solutions that will shape the final list of winners.

Nomination, winners and awards
The Challenge selection committee, composed of creatives, experts & entrepreneurs from all over the world will select the Contributions and create a shortlist of top ideas and Nominees. An international jury of leading experts representing different expertises and nationalities will select the finalists of the Challenge. WDCD will announce the winning Contributions. Every Contribution will be considered and evaluated according to the judging criteria, applicable terms and guidelines according to the discretion of the Challenge committee, the jury and/or WDCD. It is not possible to complain, appeal, discuss or correspond about the outcome of the Challenge selection and appointment of Nominees of Winners.
