Цель конкурса – создание проекта гостиницы типа B&B (Bed and breakfast – «Постель и завтрак»), предназначенной для детей. Объект разместится в уезде Гуаншань на территории живописного национального парка у озера Луншань. В июле 2023 года местные власти провели в Гуаншане первый карнавал детского творчества в сельской местности. Он положил начало инициативе создания образцового места для детского отдыха. Конечной целью проекта является превращение Гуаншаня во всемирно признанный центр детского творчества с развитой туристической инфраструктурой для детей. Начальный этап включает в себя создание летнего детского лагеря с гостиницами формата B&B.

Leading domestic B&B brands are set to establish the country's first child-friendly B&B cluster in the imaginatively expansive «Flight Camp» within GuangShan. Positioned in the Longshan Lake National Wetland Park in GuangShan County, this 200-acre vast rural expanse will be transformed into a comprehensive vacation area, providing children with an unpolluted, pure, and expansive natural outdoor experience.
Situated amidst the poetic dichotomy of «Northern Jiangnan» and «Southern Jiangnan», GuangShan, known as Light Mountain, weaves together the allure of its natural habitat with rich cultural legacies, evolving into a millennium-old sanctuary. Bestowed with the titles of China's «Natural Oxygen Bar» and an «Ecologically Enchanting County», GuangShan stands as an idyllic setting for the realization of the Child-Friendly City vision.
From July 8th to July 30th, 2023, with guidance from the Arts Department and Industry Development Department of the Cultural and Tourism Ministry, GuangShan successfully hosted its inaugural Rural Children's Art Carnival. This event emerged as the pinnacle in infusing cultural industries with vitality for rural rejuvenation, establishing itself as a benchmark for the «Child-Friendly County» initiative. In recent years, GuangShan County has been at the forefront of crafting a «Child-Friendly Demonstration City», centering its efforts around a child-centric approach, propelling the multifaceted integration of children, communities, social groups, and urban spaces.
The ultimate goal is to shape GuangShan into a globally recognized haven for children's artistic expression, Seizing the momentum generated by the first Rural Children's Art Carnival, Gwangsan County will further strengthen the creation of a child-friendly environment through the Child-Friendly Rural B&B Competition. This competition seeks to expedite the development of a captivating rural destination for children's art tourism. GuangShan not only stands as a natural haven of beauty but also as an exceptional realm where children can chase their dreams in the realm of art.
This competition encourages B&B brand owners and design teams to collaborate and form teams or B&B operation consortia. The initial phase targets a focused design for the Flight Camp in GuangShan County. Participants are urged to propose creative and practical solutions for various aspects of individual B&B designs, aiming to create a miraculous child-friendly B&B cluster. This endeavor aims to unlock more possibilities for GuangShan and bring forth a haven for children.
The organizers will provide construction subsidies based on a standard rate of 1000-3000 RMB per square meter for a building area not exceeding 1000 m2. (The actual subsidy will be determined upon the signing of the operational investment cooperation agreement, distributed in stages as specified in the agreement.)
