Straw Bale Ecological House
Конкурсантам предлагается спроектировать небольшой частный дом, который будет построен в испанском городе Гвадалахара по технологии Straw Bale – из соломенных блоков. В своих работах нужно предусмотреть все необходимые функциональные помещения, а также учесть комментарии будущего владельца. Лучший проект получит шанс на реализацию.

The Straw-Bale Eco-House competition is a contribution to the natural, sustainable and efficient homebuilding.
The eco-house will be built with a modular and prefabricated system of straw bales, a green roof, a greenhouse and consequently a high level of energy efficiency.
The house will be constructed in the appealing city of Guadalajara located in the center of Spain, very near the capital, Madrid.
Guadalajara, after a period of extensive economic development and urban growth, is vibrant and welcoming. It is a city steeped in history and brimming with hospitality as seen in the friendliness of its people.
The owner is called Oscar, a solitary man who tells us:
"I have always lived in a big city, but my best childhood memories come from my grandparents self-built house near the orchards.
I am a home-loving person and make most of my life at home.
I work as a translator at home. I like to think that my work helps to spread knowledge between cultures.
I also do yoga at home every morning and I really enjoy growing plants and taking care of them very much. I spend a lot of my free time cooking, listening to music, watching a movie or reading at home.
I conceive my house welcoming and healthy, with low energy consumption and low environmental impact. Filled with natural light in the daytime, but permitting enough darkness at night.
Open to the outside to enjoy the magnificent views to the woods and the skyline, as well as the wild bushes and trees from the plot itself that will be preferably respected or transplanted if possible".
