Конкурсантам необходимо предложить варианты студенческого жилья, которое могло бы занять достойное место в архитектурной среде Генуи. Проект должен наилучшим образом вписаться в границу между городом и морем – слиться с контекстом и одновременно привлекать к себе внимание.

Genoa is a city of ancient charm that keeps intact the medieval identity of its carrughi, the narrow streets that form the ancient center. The Lanterna is one of the most famous symbols, dominating the urban skyline, witnessing the bond that the Ligurian capital maintains with its own waterfront. The Galata Museum, together with the Biosphere and the Biga designed by architect Renzo Piano, are among the contemporary architectures that characterize the port area. In this atmosphere full of mixtures we want to imagine Genoa University Housing, a residence for the students of the nearby DAD (Department of Architecture and Design). The project will have to fit best in a margin between the city and the sea that is still without adequate accommodation. An architecture capable of integrating with the place but without renouncing to instances of a contemporary mold, an intervention capable of triggering improvement processes on an urban scale.
