Участникам предстоит разработать принт для зонтиков от солнца, которые могли бы стать украшением города в летний период и обеспечить комфорт горожанам. На выбор предлагается две категории: круглые зонтики диаметром 3 метра и квадратные со стороной 2,5 метра. Изготавливать их планируется из тканей Sunbrella®. Принты, вошедшие в топ-3, будут запущены в производство.
In collaboration with Sunbrella®, Young Bird Plan is about to launch the second season of "Shade-scape" Sunshade Pattern Design Competition at the end of this year. The winning works will be optimized and fabricated by the brand’s US-based professional team as before. Yet this time the competition mounts new challenges of creativity by adding two different categories, that is to say, sunshade surface with a diameter of 3 meters and square sunshade surface with a side length of 2.5 meters, instead of merely one kind of the sunshade surface with 2.5 meters in diameter. We hope to stimulate more inspirations and innovations by integrating inventive patterns with diverse umbrella types.
Evaluation criteria
Deep understanding of both the competition theme and the brand’s culture and craftsmanship;
Practical and artistic in the urban setting;
Appropriate cost of material and workmanship;
Feasible with the abovementioned three sunshade surfaces.
