Barcelona Gothic Design Archive
Перед участниками конкурса стоит задача спроектировать здание в Барселоне, в котором разместится архив готики (хранилище исторических документов и записей, связанных с готическим стилем в искусстве и архитектуре). Объект должен стать современной интерпретацией готики. Также значимым критерием оценки является попадание в контекст.

The challenge for this competition is to design a new building to house the Gothic Design Archive. The structure should present a Modern or Contemporary interpretation of a Gothic Architecture. The Gothic design Archive will house a collection of historical documents or records and a host of information chronicling the Gothic influence on architecture, art, design, fashion and popular culture.
The objectives of Gothic Design Archive Competition are the following:
Reward quality design solutions that responds effectively to the specification of this brief.
Encourage architectural design solution and ideas that best respond to the location.
Generate both functional and volumetric contribution to the site.
Promote the design of a structure that take into context the site and topology.
Stimulate the discussion of ideas regarding the intervention and construction on such a site.
This is a single stage Competition to identify the most appropriate and most consistent proposal in accordance to the general and specific objectives of the contest.
The project is to design a Gothic Design Archive along Carrer de la independencia next to Avinguda Meridiana on the grid within Carrer del Dos de Maig, Carrer Consell de cent, Carrer de la independencia and Placa Glories Catalanes in Barcelona to house the Gothic Design Archives and other related temporary exhibitions.
