Community space - Design the public space at Ørestad library and school
Участникам конкурса предлагается поучаствовать в создании нового общественного пространства в копенгагенском районе Эрестад. Благоустроить планируется площадь у районной библиотеки и школы. Это довольно оживленное место, однако инфраструктура его на сегодняшний день слабо развита. Цель конкурса – создать комфортную площадку для отдыха и общения горожан. Лучший проект может быть реализован.

The area in front of Ørestad Library and Ørestad School has become one of the busiest places in Ørestad. Despite this, very few people stop and spend time here. This might be due to the fact that the area aren’t conceived as an urban space or square, but as a ”to and from” place. The wind conditions can tease and people need a reason to stay and hang out in the area. How can we create an active and attractive space for community at this particular location in Ørestad, which has developed into one of the busiest spots in the district with many different people passing through and meeting each day?
Ørestad City Homeowners’ Association, City & Port Development and the Ministry of Housing, Urban and Rural Affairs invite proposals in an open competition for the transformation of the area by Ørestad Library and Ørestad School, with the possibility for subsequent realisation. Solutions are wanted for the area that will help allow the site to flourish and spur new communities for the benefit of all. This is your chance to create a new and active urban space in Ørestad!
