The site is a ten minute walk from the metro station "Belarus", on the south side it is narrowed by Zoologichesky side street, from the west side it borders with Malaya Gruzinaskaya Street. In total, the renewed hall will include five buildings – three apartment buildings are set perpendicular to the road, and two of them are low-rise and non-residential. 3storey block houses an assembly and concert halls and is shifted to the left from high-rise ensemble, and the long 2-storey building houses entrance halls, the access control offices, cafe and canteen, as well as a gym and swimming pool. They both bear the two end towers. Remarkably, all the rehearsal rooms have skylights – roof of the stylobate has numerous of them. Facades fronting Malaya Gruzinskaya street will assure the passers-by that the building they see has the direct relation to the music industry. It is highlighted by contrast combination of light facades and dark glass surfaces: pattern of windows set of the residential units really reminds of an accordion keyboard, and façade of the stylobate part reminds of a musical score, where the windows represent different notes. Will they create a true melody? Will students of the conservatory like it? These are still open issues. The main thing is that now the capital has a good example when a hall of residence, which used to be the genre the architects considered least creative, is developed not only comfortable but aesthetically good.
