2.0 WATT - architectural competition for students & young architects
Участникам предстоит разработать программу реновации территорий заброшенного завода Zerowatt в итальянском городе Альцано-Ломбардо. В своих проектах конкурсанты должны учесть пожелания местных жителей, которые хотели бы, чтобы здесь появились кинотеатр, библиотека или студенческий центр, коворкинг, площадки для занятий спортом и активного отдыха. Однако архитекторы могут предложить и собственное видение развития территории.

2.0 WATT ideas is a competition that encourages the development of design proposals on the reuse of abandoned spaces of Zerowatt factory and on its transformation, in step with the requests arisen during the participatory planning.
The competition aims to define a vision for a future structure and reuse of the area.
The design has to achieve the following goals:
Define a new set of building volumes currently non-existent in the area, predicting possible demolitions
Define a new relationship between the area and the creek Nesa
Reconfigure the accesses to the area, in order to promote integration with the urban surroundings
Generate new public spaces (e.g. squares, green areas, park facilities, etc..)
Hypothesise a functional layout that takes into account the information received during the partecipatory planning
Focus on one of the functions, via examples
The functions indicated by the citizens during the open days are:
Cinema
Theatre
Library, student centre
Spaces for sport activities (others than those guaranteed by the new Sports Hall recently built in Alzano Lombardo) like fencing, climbing, boxing and other indoor sports
Artistic residences / hostel
Co-working space for small and medium-sized enterprises
Spaces of productivity for small artisan activities
Equipped green areas
The designer is free to represent his/her vision of the area, considering these functions and providing his/her own functional layout.
