Mangrove Tree Resort – крупная сеть роскошных отелей в Китае, которая, кроме довольно традиционных для отелей развлечений, имеет на своей территории еще и собственную киностудию.
Участникам конкурса необходимо разработать 2 типа специальных помещений с ультрасовременным кино-оборудованием X Movie Plus (поэтому работать предлагается в команде с специалистами киносферы и инженерами). Основная функция первого типа помещения – кинотеатр, рассчитанный на 15 человек, однако, пространство может использоваться и в качестве ресторана или конференц-зала. Второе помещение, меньшее по размерам (всего 42 кв.м), рассчитано на молодую аудиторию и также может трансформироваться из небольшого кинозала в зал для йоги или, например, в лаунж-зону.
Эти два типа мини-кинотеатров могут располагаться, как обособленно, так и в комплексе с другими постройками отеля.

X Movie Plus is the content of this design competition, is also the vital composing part for the Movie studio, endeavoring to become a composite space for vision-related lifestyles.
The core question of X Movie Plus is the diversity and variability of the space design, which is divided into 2 categories:
For X Movie Plus of category A, it is based on cinema function, combining restaurant, conference, film festival exhibition and treading elements, with approximately 80sqm with the capacity of over 15 visitors.
For X Movie Plus of category B, it is targeting at young groups, design requires: 42sqm private screening cinemas holding 10-20 visitors, at the same time covering restaurant, games, meeting, entertainment, KTV, rest lounge, yoga, disco dancing and micro-film premier etc.. Anything is possible!
